Rally drivers regularly need to spin 180 degrees "on the spot" when they over shoot an intersection, or need to turn very hard left or right and there's not enough wheel lock to achieve this. A hydraulic handbrake is used by drivers to lock up or break loose the rear wheels when they want to Drift the car sideways or spin on the spot. The hydraulic system connects into the brake line that runs to the rear calipers and requires a lot less force to completely lock both rear wheels when needed. The hydraulic system eliminates the weaknesses as in the standard cable type handbrakes. Horizontal and Vertical hydraulic handbrake in oneĭrifting and Rally driving requires extensive use of the handbrake, which can show weaknesses in standard cable type handbrakes. Install driver's seat.Pro-Drift V3 Full Aluminium Billet Lockable Hydraulic Handbrake for Drifting and Rally. Thread 2 bolts from the trans tunnel side into the mounting nuts on the bracket, applying the fender washer between the bolt and trans tunnel sheet metal. Drill out this location with the same drill. The second mounting hole requires marking and drilling in the tunnel, use a spring punch to mark the hole through the bracket nut insert while the bracket is aligned with the other 2 holes. Drill this out with an M8 clearance3 drill, (3/8 would work). Locate the indentation for the RHD ebrake handle on the drivers side tunnel. locate the factory handbrake hole on top, this will be uses for the wing bracket. Requires removal of center console and factory hand brake and driver's side seat. Side mount 3/4" AFCO remote reservoir master cylinder
